About me

I was born and raised along the eastern border of South Dakota, where I developed a deep appreciation for the strong values and close-knit communities that define the region. Now, I've planted my roots in Watertown, where my wife, daughter, and I are growing together as a family and creating a life we love.

My Photography Journey

I started photography after buying my first Sony camera. At first, I loved capturing images of my dogs and scenic landscapes, appreciating the way light and composition brought each shot to life. Wanting to expand my skills, I reached out to friends and offered to take their portraits. After my first photoshoot, I realized that portrait photography was not just about capturing faces, it was about telling a story, showcasing personalities, and creating meaningful connections through the lens. From that moment on, I was hooked, eager to refine my craft and bring out the best in every subject I photographed.

My Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy staying active through fitness by lifting weights, running, and trying new routines. I also have a passion for lawn care and landscaping, finding satisfaction in keeping my yard looking its best. When it's time to unwind, I love watching movies, from classic favorites to the latest releases. Most importantly, I cherish spending quality time with my family, enjoying a meal, having a game night, or simply relaxing together.

Work Life

I've always had a passion for healthcare, with experience in nursing homes and hospitals. At 18, I decided to pursue my LPN, but eventually sought a change of pace. I enrolled in the Med/Fire program at LATC, where I earned my EMT certification in January 2022. After starting part-time as an EMT in July 2022, I completed my Paramedic certification in December 2022. Currently, I work full-time as a Paramedic and Firefighter at Watertown Fire Rescue.
